We are delighted to confirm that we have smashed our funding target to allow us to commence Phase 1 of our Walkway Project, around the New Field.

The preparatory spraying of the surface was carried out this week, and it is planned to commence groundsworks once the Cúl Camp is finished.

The generosity of our Community so far has been astonishing, and is shining example of the power of a Community Spirit coming together for a common cause.

At an open Community meeting on Monday night, it was agreed that we would resurface part of Phase 2 this year, if the funding allowed.

Specifically it was suggested that we resurface the length of Walkway used daily by the primary school children when collected each day after school. See below image highlighted in Red, for the propsed area.

This area gets quite muddy during the winter months, and it would be a huge benefit to our Primary School children if we could include this area in our work this year. However, we will only comence this extra work, ahead of schedule, if we have raised enough funds to complete this part of the project. If not, our excess funding collected so far will be ringfenced for Phase 2 in 2024 as already agreed.

Given the very generous response we have recieved so far, we are very hopeful that we can reach our new target to resurface this length of Walkway used daily by our Primary School Children this year.
