We are delighted to have completed Phase 1 of our Walkway Project today.

This has been made possible by the incredible generosity of our local community, and in partnership with Cork County Council & Healthy Ireland, who provided part funding for this project.

A special thanks must go to Newtownshandrum Community Association who were the driving force behind collecting the Community Donations to make this possible.

This facility will provide a safe and smooth surface with floodlighting for our Community to exercise and socialise, away from the public road.

As part of our fundraising efforts, sufficient funds were raised to complete the section of the walkway from the Carpark to the Primary School. This is due to be completed next week, weather permitting.

As communicated earlier in this process, we plan to complete Phase 2 in 2024, subject to funding.

We will provide an update on this when we have more information, some time in early 2024.
